Xbox 360 - Xbox LIVE Connection Issues Follow-Up
I finally got a chance to call Microsoft (1-800-4MY-XBOX) about my issues with connecting to XBOX LIVE.
After a number of minutes on the phone with one customer service rep (Thanks Frank!) I was escalated up to another tech that informed me that this was a known issue and I should be hearing back from someone within the next 3-4 days about more details on the problem.
I’m really curious what the problem is:
- Is it something with returned RROD units after repair?
- Is it something with hardware in general?
- Is it something with my ISP (AT&T U-verse)?
Has anyone else called about this issue and gotten this known issue thing? They asked me about my Z: line status code (Z: AFFF - 0016) in the Error Status Report. I’m guessing that’s probably a key to something. Unlike some other comments I’ve seen online, I didn’t have anything said to me about being banned or my console being modded.
As usual, I’ll provide an update once I hear back from Microsoft on this issue.
