Can I Delete These?

I should probably direct this question to Kiven over at That Damn PC, but I figure I’ll ask it here and he can answer and let me know on his own site if he would like.
I’ve got these directories of files in my root drive and I’m wondering what files I can delete safely. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to determine if a file is attached to a registry value or application that needs them? I’m thinking maybe these were temporary directories that were established for installing an upgrade or new application anyway.
Then there’s all the .sqm file as well. What about those? Keep or delete?

I think that it is ok to delete the folders, I don’t know about the sqm files.
I usually move all stuff of this kind to another folder, and wait 1 month, if nothing is broken meanwhile I assume it is safe to remove this.
PS: I deleted sqm files in my computer and nothing has happened, but they started appearing again.

That’s great. You know I’d heard to do that before, move to folder and hold for a period of time, but forgot about doing it in this case. I will say I’m probably only moderately concerned that this tip came from “ignoramus”. Not sure if you were referring to me or yourself! =)
