Pretty funny video making fun of the technology of surface computing. They really play off the size of the device, but we all know that just about everything starts off really large and bulky and gets reduced in size and weight very quickly.

I just finished watching Monday night’s episode of CSI:Miami and writing a review on the CSI:Fanatic website. At the end of the episode I noticed a little advertisement for “Microsoft presents the Stu Osborn Show”.
I had no idea what it was, so push the link and followed it to a little clip starring Fred Willard, […]

A recent issue of the SitePoint Tribune, Brendon Sinclair makes what I think is an astute observation about all this Vista/Ferrari hullabaloo.
Microsoft Bashing Just for Fun?
Microsoft’s reputation took a beating recently, when it gave A-list bloggers fully loaded laptops in exchange for reviews of Windows Vista. Microsoft then asked for the machines either to be […]

I don’t want to hear anyone complain about bloated software from Microsoft again until they admit Adobe’s got a problem too. Why in the love of binary code does a simple PDF reader have to be a 20MB+ download!
Update: It took over 20 minutes for the Adobe Reader to install, then they wanted me to […]

I like this music. Remember it when you were installing Windows? To hear it for yourself, just enter this in the Run command.
c:\Windows\system32\oobe\images\title.wma
Thanks to Forever Geek for the info, along with some other tidbits that weren’t as interesting or that I already knew.

It was bound to happen. When you’ve got that much money and someone that’s starting to cut into your market, you’ve just got to do something.
I’m not sure how I really feel though, I have been very pleased with IE7.

I love the products, I’m just getting tired of everything beginning with “Windows Live…”
Would there be any confusion if it were just “Live…” so, maybe something like this:
Windows Live Writer = LiveWriter
Windows Live Search = LiveSearch
Windows Live Messenger = LiveMessenger
Windows Live Mail = LiveMail
Is that too simple? Why wouldn’t that work?

How’d Microsoft let this one slip by? Wouldn’t you think they’d register pretty much any variation of a new project/application’s name?

It’s not what you’d expect.

Sorry folks for being away so long. Spent the last week down in New Orleans helping rebuild some areas still devastated by Katrina. I ended up not having the wi-fi access I was expecting. Wasn’t there a lot of talk about citywide, free wi-fi?
I went downtown one night and picked up a wireless network labeled […]
