I couldn’t live without….

The question was presented to me by my channel editor at b5 for an upcoming theme across the channel.
My immediate thought was that I couldn’t live without Windows Live Writer now. I’ve become so used to the application that my productivity around blogging and expressing my thoughts and creativity are enmeshed through-out the app. As […]

Can’t Click Links in Outlook

All of a sudden I’ve started getting this error message in Outlook when I try to click on a link. I’ve looked through all of my settings and options and can’t find where to go to fix it. I’m fairly certain it’s a security setting somewhere.
I do a quick search in Google on […]

Weird Firefox Issues

Okay everyone. I know this is a Microsoft blog, but I’ve jumped back to Firefox for a bit to test some things out since IE7 has been giving me some weird issues lately.
I go to fire up Firefox this evening though and my screen is looking weird. There’s a huge blank space of gray […]

Even Microsoft Help Uses Firefox

I’m not sure if the image being uses was populated dynamically or if the person at Microsoft that actually put together the help files is using Firefox instead of IE7.
I’m working through updating a few things on my computer and noticed that the screen capture image to help the user work through the steps […]

Memory Issues in IE7

As you can see from the two screen captures above, I’ve got some weirdness going on in IE7 every now and then. Aside from someone telling me to switch over to Firefox again, does anyone have a solution identified when this sort of thing occurs on a fairly regular basis?
Side Note: I have […]

IE7 Memory Issues?

At the risk of having more people tell me to switch to Firefox instead of using IE7, can someone please confirm for me what’s causing this issue for me in IE7? I believe it’s a memory leak issue. If that’s the case, how do I fix it?
It happens to me somewhat regularly. All […]

Yahoo Crashing Internet Explorer

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Yahoo! Mail website crashing Internet Explorer? I’m running IE7. A couple of times I’ve gotten notice from IE7 that the Adobe Shockwave add-on was running during the crash.
I’ve updated Shockwave and Flash, but I’m still crashing.
Anyone else seeing this? Anyone got a fix for it?

Password AutoComplete Settings

I normally don’t have my browser remember passwords and stuff, but I’ve decided it’s a big help for websites that aren’t storing very personal information. Specifically, my two Fantasy Football league management websites. The problem is that I’ve already told Internet Explorer not to remember the passwords for these websites.
I’m trying to figure […]

Moving a Browser Tab to Another Window

I just thought of another thing I’d like to see Microsoft add to the next update to Internet Explorer.
I’d like to be able to right-click on an existing tab and not just move it within the existing order of tabs in that window; I’d also like to be able to move it to a […]

Firefox Is More Hacker Friendly Than Internet Explorer

A recent report released by Honeynet Project shows that Internet Explorer 6 is more secure than Firefox 1.5. Granted both of these browsers have now been upgraded with their latest counterparts, but the results of the study are interesting nonetheless don’t you think?
Common perception about Internet Explorer and Firefox is that Firefox is safe and […]
