Can someone point me in the direction of how to interpret the Stack Trace (#3)information on a error page in a .NET application.
I’m okay with looking at the actual error and the source line information that’s displayed.
But trying to get anything valuable from the information below has escaped me.
Would love some information on […]

Here’s a somewhat humorous story for everyone.
I’m working on another website project and I keep getting the error I wrote about before on “Error Invoking….” blah-blah-blah.
I’m getting sick and tired of this error popping up so I type in the entire text of the error into Google to see if anyone else is experiencing this […]

Working on a client web application and I keep getting errors when I try to format fields and controls that are located in a GridView control. I’ve never had this problem before that I can think of when I was using Visual Web Developer 2005. Now I’m using Visual Web Developer 2008.
It’s a pain […]

Just read an article by Matthew Magain on Sitepoint that’s talking about the new opt-in meta tag function being developed by Microsoft for release in IE8.
You may or may not have heard about IE8 passing the ACID2 test. Which I think should have been good news right? But it’s never enough for Microsoft, or […]

After surfing around the Microsoft website this evening I found a link to download a training kit for Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5. I’ve downloaded Visual Web Developer 2008 and have been meaning to get some time invested in teaching myself more about the differences between it and Visual Web Developer Express 2005.
I’m not […]

Here’s a quick ASP.NET development question for you. I’ve talked a lot about me focusing on doing a variety of website application projects using Visual Web Developer Express 2005 and teaching myself ASP.NET and VB and SQL along the way.
We get this error fairly regularly when we make an edit to one of our […]

Why isn’t there an included function within ASP.NET development to put an export to Word, Excel, CSV or text control on a web page?
I’ve been using Visual Web Developer Express now for awhile and have churned out a number of websites and pages for clients that are very impressive in my opinion.
I would think it […]

Wow! This guy was a looker wasn’t he? This picture now appears on the Microsoft homepage promoting the new versions of Visual Studio Express versions.
You can say what you want. If I grew up looking like that and now had achieved and owned we he does…you can call me a geek any day of […]

I’ve been commenting a bit back and forth with John from Microsoft who’s asked me about my experiences with the VWDE beta. I’m in the middle, actually wrapping up, a project now so probably won’t try changing until this project gets into maintenance mode.
Another question has popped up in my mind though.
I’ve been seeing the […]
