Expression vs. Visual Web Developer Express
I’ve been commenting a bit back and forth with John from Microsoft who’s asked me about my experiences with the VWDE beta. I’m in the middle, actually wrapping up, a project now so probably won’t try changing until this project gets into maintenance mode.
Another question has popped up in my mind though.
I’ve been seeing the Microsoft Expression software and I’m wondering…What’s the difference?
Is Expression targeted to a different user group? Can I NOT do something in Expression I can with VWDE?
Does anyone know from experience? What do you think?

I’ve been using expression for awhile, it is geared more toward the old frontpage users I think. I have tried Visual Web Developer briefly, it is more for ASP.net pages and lots more functionality for programmers.

I have been using both applications for sometime now. Visual Web Developer makes development of web applications with heavy coding , a breeze !! There are a lot of tools to make your development process, simple . But , you don’t get great flexibility when you want to concentrate on the look and feel of the site. Expression Web on the other hand gives an awesome environment to concentrate on the design and interface of the site.
