Get Smart with These 8 Secret Gems in Word
Catching up on some past e-mails and came across this little article about “Eight Handy Tools in Microsoft Word You Probably Don’t Know About” on PC Magazine’s website.
Given that Word and Excel are probably the two top applications that are used by the widest group of people from business information specialists to students; getting tips and suggestions on how to use it better is always good.
Here are the 8 gems:
- Shrink document by one page
- Calculate in tables
- Merge to e-mail
- Compare two documents
- Document inspector
- Built-in translator
- Create fancy equations
- Use math autocorrect
The first few tips are right up my alley. That’s the kind of stuff that I think is really useful to most users. As the list goes on though, you really started losing me.
Go read the article for all the details and specifics though, I’m sure you’ll take something back to fill in your super-hero-Word-utility-belt.
Do you have a good tip that’s not listed here? I’d love to hear about it. Let me know in the comments.
