Pasting Various Clipboard Items to Word 2007
Here’s another burr in my saddle today.
Whenever I try to paste something into Word 2007, I get this little image. It doesn’t matter if I’m pasting text (which is what I’m trying to do in this example) or a photo/image. I get this little icon.
I figured it out once what was going on and corrected it, but I can’t find the solution again.
Can someone please help me and possible some other readers out?

I’ve never seen THAT icon. I usually see the little “paste” icon, which has a drop-down to select which format you’re pasting. You can, from that menu, set the default options.
Take a look around and see what that icon is from. Is it from the program that you copied from? Some add-in?
Possible Scenario:
You copied something, wanted to paste into Word, but Word wasn’t open yet, so you launched it. Upon launching, some silly add-on copy/pasted itself onto the toolbar, thus wiping out whatever you had copied. Now you’re just left with the icon.
I consider that a defect, and would remove whatever app is loading itself that way.

What annoys me (one of the things anyway) is that silly little clipboard won’t go away even when I’ve made a selection from it. Anyone know how to kill it?
