One of the great features of Windows Live Writer that I love is that I can work on a couple of different posts in varying stages without having to be connected to the Internet at all.
This lets me get my ideas down and ready for more intense writing later, or even let’s me insert and […]

I’m finally glad to report that Windows Live Writer is finally back in full-effect on my computer and I can’t tell you just how happy that makes me. It’s amazing how much I’ve come to appreciate this piece of free software from Microsoft.
It isn’t so much a question of dependent, as I was able […]

One thing I failed to mention in my new review of the Windows Live Writer Technical Preview build was that whatever they’ve done, the update fixed the issues I was having with random categories being cut-off.
It wouldn’t seem that big of a deal at first, but when you’ve got similar categories with the first […]

I wrote about updating my installation of Windows Live Writer to the newest tech preview and now it’s time to share some thoughts and images.
Let’s work through the image above to see some updates and improvements:
Quick Color Formatting: Not sure if this is new or not but didn’t remember it in the old […]

I’ll say it again as well, you really need to provide a function for me to browse through my uploads […]

In that post I had mentioned that the functionality of blogging in Word 2007 was very similar to what had been developed in the Windows Live Writer application. Not surprisingly, it would make sense to test functionality in a small, free […]

What do you do when you accidentally announce something wasn’t quite ready for primetime? If you’re AOL, you stay your very angry that some of your employees released some search information. If you’re Microsoft, you just pull the post down off of one of your employee’s blogs real quick. The problem with the latter is […]

I’ve been using Windows Live Writer for a couple of days now and overall I’m very happy with the tool. However two things that are irritating me.
No “tag” support via the plug-ins installed on the blog itself. It would be a great feature for Windows Live Writer to somehow integrate with the plug-ins installed and […]
