I was hanging out with a friend last night and he had a new mobile browser on his phone called Skyfire. It looked very similar to the functionality of the iPhone browser in allowing you to select an area on the page and then zoom into it as needed. That was in beta and […]

One of the new features of the recently upgraded version of ActiveSync for PocketPC is a troubleshooter feature. Screen shot of some of the steps it goes through is below.
The only problem with it for me is that it said I wasn’t running Outlook 2000 or later. I’m running the Outlook 2007 beta which is […]

Microsoft has released a new version of ActiveSync. This one is 4.2 and should take care of many of the problems with the 85010014 errors many of us have been dealing with.
I’m currently looking at my ActiveSync 4.2.0 (Build 4855) BETA install for my PPC-6700. Looks like this is the final, non-beta version.

Since I experienced this a little bit myself and noticed that it was a pretty common challenge, figured I’d throw this resource […]

Microsoft will be making the mobile version of their SQL Server software capable of running on any version of Windows. Currently the product only works on Windows CD and Windows Tablet editions. But with this announcement, they’ll be expanding their user base.
I’ll definitely be looking into this more because I know we have some clients […]

Ever wish you had a little bit more functionality from your laptop, even when the lid is closed? That’s the idea behind the SideShow feature in Windows Vista. The feature will use a sub-set of the functionality of Microsoft Gadgets to deliver information in small chunks to the user. The information will be delivered through […]
