Vista Looks Alot Like OSX for a Reason?
I’m just going to throw this out there, but I keep hearing the reports that Vista is just a knock-off of Apple’s OSX.
Then you’ve got John C. Dvorak saying that Apple’s eventual plan is to drop OSX and move completely to Windows OS.
Could it be that Vista looks alot like OSX because the goal is to merge the learning curve for users? Aside from difference in platform, I’m wondering if Vista and OSX look alot alike under all that GUI stuff? I’m just saying…

I think the plan is to drop Windows. Sorry guys, but Mac OS X is better. And Leopard will be much better than Vista.

Although my general speculation is very iffy, the idea of Microsoft dropping Windows seems highly unlikely. Just because a product is “better” doesn’t mean it’s the one that will win the market. We only have to look back to VHS vs. Betamax to see that.

I never could imagine that IBM will drop their PC business. :-) And Intel chips inside macs also.
It will be great if we have more than 2 competitors (Apple, MS, Linux and so on) to get better and faster OSs. And I hope neither Apple not MS drop their operating systems.
But it would be very possible to drop Windows if Leopard would be able to run Windows stuff inside Mac OS X.
P.S. Sorry for my English. I’m from Belarus.

Its laughable to think that Apple would drop OS X. They are all about tying together hardware and software. I highly doubt MS would drop windows, either, but I have been surprised before.
