Vista’s Horrible But Earnings Are Outstanding
Microsoft seems to be doing some kind of magic right as their second quarter earnings for fiscal 2008 were “outstanding” according to CFO Chris Lidell.
I wouldn’t have expected “outstanding” or maybe even good results from Microsoft after all the complaining and noise that’s been going on with people’s opinions of Vista, Office 2007, and their problems with the Xbox 360.
The article I’m reading says it’s due in part with their overseas sales and them getting a control on pirated copies of their software.
That almost makes the news even more odd, given their stance with the EU. Must be lots of software being purchased and sold in places I don’t even consider.
