Windows OneCare Adds Online Photo Backup

by Jason Bean on September 23rd, 2007

The Windows OneCare Beta I’m participating in just let me know that they’ve added an online photo back-up option to their features.

I’ve activated it on my copy, but waiting to see about using it. I’m not the best about doing back-ups and worrying about my photos is even further on the bottom of that list. This should make it easier for me though.

For photos though, I’d think burning a bazillion of them to a DVD would be the more logical choice.

There is a similar tool - foto recovery, can recover files from removable media that use the FAT file systems (FAT12/FAT16/FAT32), uses several different data recovery methods and algorithms, recover data after Deleted files, images, photos and other information (photo recovery, foto recovery, image recovery, picture recovery) is recovered and saved in just four steps.

With 200Gig drives are selling for $50.00, why even consider a service like this? And then there’s S3 and Jungledisk…..

I agree! I just bought a 250GB Western Digital portable drive for $150. It will be perfect for carrying around in my laptop bag. It wouldn’t be worth my time to sit around and wait for the files to upload online as compared to just buying a separate drive for this task like you said.
