Yahoo Crashing Internet Explorer

by Jason Bean on November 6th, 2007

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Yahoo! Mail website crashing Internet Explorer? I’m running IE7. A couple of times I’ve gotten notice from IE7 that the Adobe Shockwave add-on was running during the crash.

I’ve updated Shockwave and Flash, but I’m still crashing.

Anyone else seeing this? Anyone got a fix for it?

Try running a freeware browser like Firefox. See if you get the same results. If the same thing happens, you will know wheather or not its the browser or a software issue.

I was a big user of Firefox before IE7. Now I actually prefer the IE7 interface over Firefox’s. There are things I miss in Firefox, but for the most part IE7 gives me everything I need, and the way I want it. Haven’t had a problem on Yahoo now for awhile. I’m thinking it was a jacked up ad on their site.
